Byron AlménByron Almén is Associate Professor of Music Theory at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of A Theory of Musical Narrative (Indiana University Press, 2009), the co-editor (with Edward Pearsall) of Approaches to Musical Meaning (Indiana University Press, 2006), and numerous articles and book chapters on music, narrative, film, and Jung. He is currently working on a book on Jungian type and the analysis of filmic, literary, and musical discourses.
